Two families lose homes in southeast metro apartment fire

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A massive fire at a southeast Oklahoma City apartment complex overnight caused significant damage and left multiple families without a place to stay.

Crews responded to the complex near Southeast 44th Street and Sunnylane Road just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. Fire investigators say early reports indicated one person may have been trapped but a search turned up without any results. Oklahoma City Fire also told News 4 about a potential missing person that may be related to the fire.

“Initially we had a report from an on-scene security that a father said his daughter was missing,” said Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Shane Williams. “We searched for her. Did a primary and secondary with negative results on both of them. We’re uncertain where she is at this time.”…
