Alleged copper thieves arrested, causing thousands in damages

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Two people are facing felony charges for copper wire theft.

44-year-old Heather Lloyd and 54-year-old Seth Lemke were recently arrested in connection with utility lines being cut and stolen.

Their goal was to obtain the copper wire inside for a profit.

“AT&T has been a significant victim in that regard, costing the company millions and millions of dollars over the past several years related to these thefts,” said Bill Carroll, lead investigator for AT&T’s Global Security department.
