OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City police are investigating after dispatch audio suggests one or more of their officers apparently sent a series of fake messages to dispatchers Wednesday night, claiming a fleeing driver had thrown a baby out of a car window and run a person over—before then apparently telling dispatchers it was all just an April Fools prank.
The incident unfolded just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, as dispatchers tracked an officer they believed to be in the middle of a pursuit.
“They’re currently southbound on Robinson from Southwest 29th,” an Oklahoma City police dispatcher said.
