OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma City Zoo has welcomed a new member to its animal family.
According to the Zoo, one year-old Barong, a Sumatran tiger, has made the trip to OKC as a recommendation from the AZA Species Survival Plan.

“This transfer was important, as there are less than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild. Caretakers shared Barong is energetic and interactive, is vocal around feeding time, and is taking an interest in his new surroundings.” said the Zoo on social media.
