El Paso homeowners will see higher property taxes in proposed budget

El Pasoans could yet again see higher property taxes thanks to next year’s budget.

The city released its Fiscal Year 2027 Preliminary Budget on Wednesday, May 27, showing a tax rate of $0.783 per $100 valuation compared to the 2026 rate of $0.760. The increase would mean an annual hike of about $105, or about $8.75 per month.
