Selena filmmaker Gregory Nava to attend El Paso’s Plaza Classic Film Festival for Q&A

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Academy Award-nominated Latino filmmaker who made the movie about the singer Selena will appear at the Plaza Classic Film Festival (PCFF).

Writer, director and producer Gregory Nava will be at the 19th iteration of the PCFF, sitting down for a Q&A session before a screening of Selena (1997) and El Norte (1983).

Organizers said Nava will also receive the Plaza Classic Award for Career Achievement.

Film schedule:

  • Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m.
  • El Norte
  • Saturday, July 25 at 3 p.m.
