Smuggling charges filed against Mexican residents in El Paso

PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two Lawful Permanent Residents from Mexico, who are facing criminal charges related to alleged smuggling, made their initial appearances in a federal court in El Paso this week, announced U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, Justin R. Simmons.

Court documents stated that on June 7, 39-year-old Abraham Romo-Rivera and 29-year-old Amairani Munoz-Molinar arrived at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in a vehicle and applied for admission into the U.S.
