Former Hueco Elementary principal indicted for injuring 5-year-old student with autism

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A former elementary school principal is facing charges after being indicted last month in a case involving the injury of a 5-year-old student with autism, according to court records obtained by KFOX14/CBS4 on Monday.

Greg Hatch, former principal of Hueco Elementary School from the Socorro Independent School District, was arrested on September 30, 2025, by the Socorro ISD police department and charged with causing injury to child/ disabled individual.

According to court documents, Hatch was formally indicted on May 27, with the court stating that Hatch “did then and there intentionally or knowingly cause bodily injury” to “a disabled individual or a child 14 years of age or younger.”…
