New Mexico National Guard recognizes “people doing the right thing”

Orvie Baker Jr., the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) coordinator for the 93rd Troop Command in Santa Fe, made a special trip to Fort Bliss, Texas, June 29 to recognize two civilian employees for their support to the New Mexico National Guard.

Diane San Roman works at the Joint Mobilization Site and Dr. Loquitta Collier is a Victim Advocate for the 5th Armored Brigade at Fort Bliss. Both have been involved with welcoming NMNG Soldiers returning from mission.

“These two individuals went above and beyond the call to ensure one of our Soldiers arriving from the Border Mission was treated with compassion and care,” Baker said.

Baker presented San Roman and Collier with 93rd Troop Command Certificates of Appreciation signed by commander Col. Michelle Jaramillo and Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Schlensig.
