El Paso Police, DPS make 28 DWI arrests over July Fourth holiday weekend

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department teamed up with Texas Department of Public Safety troopers to conduct extra patrols and crack down on drunk driving over the long July Fourth holiday weekend.

The DWI enforcement operation with DPS netted 28 DWI arrests from July 3-5 and they issued 98 traffic citations to help keep El Paso roads safe, they said.

And the big plus, there were zero fatalities during the long holiday weekend.
