EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — Border officers stopped several guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from entering Mexico through a remote port of entry in West Texas.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, officers were conducting outbound inspections at the Presidio Port of Entry when they made the discovery on Wednesday in Presidio, Texas.

CPB said a 2013 Nissan X-Trail was stopped and ordered to undergo a non-intrusive inspection, which revealed anomalies in the SUV. Officers then searched the vehicle and found six rifles, two handguns, 180 magazines, 500 rounds of ammunition, and other firearm components, including machine gun barrels, in hidden compartments.
