City of El Paso, firefighters union continue negotiations as key financial issues remain

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The City of El Paso and the El Paso Association of Firefighters Local 51 continued negotiations Tuesday, July 14 on a new collective bargaining agreement, reaching some common ground on several smaller contract items while leaving key financial issues unresolved.

The City and the union have been negotiating for months. The contract would determine future increases in pay and benefits for the department’s employees, paramedics and technicians.
