EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A decades-old capital murder case involving the deaths of six young women and girls in the late 1980s returned to court Thursday, July 31, as attorneys for convicted killer David Leonard Wood argued that new evidence supports his claim of innocence.
Wood, known as the “Desert Killer,” was spared from execution while on death row last year after the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ordered a review of claims from his attorneys that they found new evidence.
