EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has concluded its investigation into a West El Paso bar and found that it did not commit any violations in connection with a fatal crash that involved a 19-year-old who is facing criminal charges.

As we previously reported, Ambar Chavira, 19 at the time of the crash, is facing charges in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed 56-year-old Jaime Andrade in April.
Chavira told investigators she had been drinking at the Hope and Anchor bar with her “sugar daddy” before the crash. TABC opened an investigation just a week after the crash, but according to an email from TABC’s spokesman, they did not find any violations.

At the time the investigation was launched, Hope and Anchor, a neighborhood bar operating in El Paso since 2009, said that it has never had a citation or violation from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and that they were cooperating with the TABC inquiry.
