EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Scenic Drive in Central El Paso is closed in both directions after a large hole damaged the roadway, according to the El Paso Police Department on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
This comes after the Borderland experienced heavy rainfall last night. The El Paso Fire Department responded to over 50 storm-related incidents, including flooded roadways.

It is unclear exactly where the hole popped up on Scenic Drive.
“For your safety, avoid the area. Closed until further notice,” EPPD said in a Facebook post.
