Shortly before the people behind the Cynthia Boyar Trejo recall were scheduled to turn in their recall signatures, we received anonymous emails and text messages alleging that the recall effort was being sabotaged from within. We reached out to people associated with the recall effort for comment. Most would not speak to us, and the few who did only spoke to us if we kept their names confidential so that they could candidly talk about what they witnessed without fear of repercussions from the other group members.
