EL PASO, Tx., October 8, 2026: Campaign finance reports were due on Monday for candidates on the November 3rd ballot. Yesterday we looked at the city council races. In today’s installment we look at the campaign finance details for three county-wide campaigns.
We reviewed the campaign finance reports for select county offices and totaled their campaign contributions and expenses this year. Republican Leonard “Leo” Arcos, who is running for County Commissioner Precinct 4 and Republican Thomas Matthew Sistrunk, running for County Commissioner Precinct 2 did not have opponents in their primaries. Their campaign financial activity reflects that they did not have to run in their primaries.
In addition to Arcos and Sistrunk, we looked at the campaign finances for Democrat Annette Griego, who is running against Arcos, and Democrat Miguel A. Teran, who is running against Sistrunk.
