EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Texas Department of Transportation has released a list of road closures for the week of Oct. 23, 2026, that may affect your commute, including a 50-hour road closure on U.S. 54 between Mesquite Hills and McCombs.
Borderland Expressway Phase 2 Project
Saturday, Oct. 24 – Monday, Oct. 26, from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. (50-hour closure)
- US-54 east and westbound between Mesquite Hills and McCombs alternate lane closures.
Crews will be working on a traffic switch to allow for construction of US-54 overpass and new road configuration.
Loop 375 Rehabilitation Project
Sunday, Oct. 25 – Tuesday, Oct. 27, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Loop 375 (Border Highway) westbound between Fonseca and Oregon full closure.
