Teens detained after reportedly pointing weapon in East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — El Paso Police say they have detained a car of teens for allegedly pointing a gun in East El Paso.

The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 along the 1800 block of Zaragoza.

Police had responded to a call about teens in a vehicle pointing a gun.

Officers stopped the vehicle and the individuals were detained, police said.

Police did not say how many people were detained but initial reports from police said one.

There were no reports of any injuries and police say there is not a threat to the public.

The incident remains under investigation.
