During a Monday morning teleconference bond hearing, Magistrate Judge Linda Estrada refused to lower Silva’s bond amount due to the nature of the crime and the safety of the community. Silva, who resides in the East Side, remains held on a total bond of $62,000 at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown.
The gun incident occurred about 4:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, outside an IHOP near Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Taco Bell and other restaurants in the 1800 block of North Zaragoza Road alongside Montwood Drive, police said.
