UPDATE: Both lanes of I-10 westbound now open near Texas line

UPDATE: As of 4:30 p.m., troopers say both westbound lanes of travel on I-10 have been reopened. The cleanup crew will remain on scene to pick up the contents from the trailer.

Please be aware of personnel and slow moving traffic when driving through the area.

As of 3:00 p.m., troopers say crews were in the process of cleaning up the cargo that was inside of the trailer and repairs are being made to the center concrete barrier wall.

Earlier Saturday, a single vehicle crash blocked all lanes of travel on I-10 west near the Louisiana-Texas line.

State Police say westbound traffic was diverted from I-10 to LA Hwy 109 (exit 4) in Vinton. The suggested route was to proceed north on LA Hwy 109 to LA Hwy 12 west.

Crews were on the scene to get the wreckage removed and the debris cleaned up, troopers say. Early Saturday afternoon, there was no estimated time of when the roadway will be reopened.
