EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Horizon City Police Department identified the person who is allegedly responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 17-year-old boy on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

The Police Department says Oscar Solis, 54, fled the scene of the crash and was later identified and located within Horizon City limits.
The Police Department says the crash happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Darrington Road and Pawling Drive in Horizon.
Police say they were dispatched to the area in reference to a crash involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was transported to a nearby hospital where we died as a result of his injuries.
Clint ISD has confirmed the teen was a student at Horizon High School.
“We are offering assistance and have started our grieving procedures for all our students and staff,” Clint ISD said.
