EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) – The family of an El Paso veteran who died while in police custody two years ago is suing the City of El Paso. The family of veteran Michael Charles Thompson, 36, announced Thursday morning they are filing a wrongful death lawsuit claiming Thompson was “beaten, choked, and repeatedly tasered over and over, as much as five times… although he did not commit any crime nor threaten to hurt himself or anyone else.”
