City presents phase 2 design of ‘massive’ Beast Urban Park in far East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – The City of El Paso presented to the public the final plans for phase two of the Beast Urban Park located in far East El Paso.

City to host meeting for Beast Urban Park’s final design

The public meeting was held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at the Beast’s state-of-the-art recreational center.

“El Paso, out here on the east side, is growing tremendously,” said City of El Paso Public Affairs Coordinator Russell Williams.

“In order to keep up with all the new people, new construction, all the new housing, all the new families, these are the amenities that the City of El Paso or Pasoans wanted to see. We’ve been listening to them through various community meetings,” said Williams.

This next phase of the project will entail $7 million enhancements to the park, which are set to begin construction in early 2025 and expected to be completed by the summer of 2026.
