On August 22, a call for a welfare check led El Paso Police officers to the 3300 block of Tierra Mision, where a grim scene awaited them, a victim, yet to be identified by authorities, was in dire need of medical attention, bleeding and on the precipice of survival. According to the City of El Paso, emergency medical services promptly transported the individual to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
