Socorro PD searches for man wanted for alleged fraudulent land sales

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Socorro Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who is wanted in connection to multiple charges related to fraudulent land sales in Socorro, the Police Department said in a press release on Monday, Sept. 16.

Police say Alex Montoya is wanted on two counts of forgery to defraud or harm an elderly person, two counts of forgery to defraud or harm another, fraudulent securing of document execution and tampering with government records (license/seal) to defraud/harm with a total bond of $126,000.

Anyone who might know any information on Montoya’s whereabouts should call the City of Socorro’s Police Department at (915) 858-6983.
