USCIS to naturalize 15 new citizens at Locomotive game

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be celebrating new U.S. citizens during the El Paso Locomotives FC soccer game at Southwest University Park.

To celebrate Citizenship Day and Constitution Day, the 15 new citizens will have a naturalization ceremony at roughly 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at halftime of the El Paso Locomotive FC game against the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

According to the news release by the USCIS, the new citizens originated from Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and Palau.

“USCIS celebrates Constitution Day and Citizenship Day – and Constitution Week –
by celebrating the connection between the Constitution and citizenship, reflecting on what it
means to be a citizen of the United States, and holding special naturalization ceremonies across
the country,” according to the USCIS.
