Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff posts video at Texas Whataburger with Beto O’Rourke

Second Gentleman and Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, visited a Texas Whataburger with El Paso’s own Beto O’Rourke .

Emhoff posted a video on his X account on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the restaurant alongside the former El Paso congressman.

“When in Texas: Go to Whataburger. Even better, do it with Beto O’Rourke,” the post said.

Emhoff was reportedly in San Antonio to headline a rally at San Antonio College on behalf of his wife on Monday, according to CBS affiliate KENS 5.

In the posted video, Emhoff fills his drink, orders food and encourages eligible voters to register to cast their ballots.

“This is our essence of our country, this is the essence of our democracy,” Emhoff said.

O’Rourke also shares with the Second Gentleman what he hears at college campuses.

“They’re calling it the ‘Kamala Effect,'” O’Rourke said. “Young people are getting registered to vote in record numbers.”
