UTEP hosts Chihuahuan Desert Gardens fundraising event

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The public is invited to the University of Texas at El Paso’s (UTEP) 2024 Fall Flora Fest.

The native plant sale event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the UTEP Undergraduate Learning Center Plaza.

The Flora Fest is hosted by the university’s Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens for a “special” one-day plant sale, according to UTEP.

Flora Fest is a fundraising event for the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens for maintenance and operations.

Attendees can “visit with master gardeners, horticulturists and other plant experts for advice on how to take care of your plants,” according to UTEP.

Credit/debit cards are only accepted at Flora Fest. Cash or checks will not be accepted.

Parking will be available at the Sun Bowl parking garage and there will be a plant loading zone on Wiggins Way, by the learning center plaza.
