El Paso Fire launches online platform to improve emergency response

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The El Paso Fire Department has launched its Community Connect online platform to help improve emergency responses, the Fire Department said.

Residents can create a secure profile with the Fire Department using this platform, that was launched in partnership with technology provider First Due.

Residents can provide the Fire Department with details such as the number of people living in the home, any special needs, gate codes, utility shutoff locations and pet information.

This information can help first responders when they respond during emergencies, “ensuring faster, more efficient and safer responses,” the Fire Department said.

“This platform strengthens the partnership between our Fire Department and the community we serve,” Fire Chief Jonathan Killings said. “By providing us with vital household details, residents can directly contribute to more effective emergency responses, ultimately improving the safety of their families and neighbors.”

The service is free, confidential, and designed to support the Fire Department in delivering customized care during emergencies —whether a fire, medical call, or any other critical situation, the Fire Department said.
