Person injured in fall off border wall in Lower Valley

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A female patient was injured after she fell off the border wall in El Paso’s Lower Valley on Sunday evening, Nov. 10, El Paso Fire dispatch said.

The female, no age given, fell near the Border Highway and Yarbrough at about 8 p.m. Sunday, fire dispatch said.

She was not in the water but watercraft had to be used reach her and rescue her, dispatch said. She was transported to a hospital Code 1 (non-life-threatening injuries), dispatch said.

The Yarbrough exit off the Border Highway East was closed for a little over an hour because of the incident, but has since reopened.
