El Pasoans Fighting Food Hunger announces new ‘teaching kitchen’

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank (EPFH) has announced the grand opening of its new teaching kitchen and will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The event will be at 10:30 a.m. at EPFH’s main campus, located at 9541 Plaza Circle, El Paso, TX, 79927.

The event’s program will have the following schedule:

  • 10:30 AM – Welcome – Celeste Varela, Government Relations, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger
  • 10:40 AM – Remarks by Susan Goodell, CEO, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger
  • 10:45 AM – Remarks by Cindy Stout, Board Member, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger
  • 10:50 AM – Remarks by Mayor Oscar Leeser
  • 10:55 AM – Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
  • 11:00 AM – Closing Remarks & Photo Opportunities

The teaching kitchen is designed to “offer cooking demonstrations, nutrition classes, and workshops, enabling community members to learn valuable skills for preparing nutritious and affordable meals,” EPFH said.
