EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Raiz Federal Credit Union awarded $95,000 in scholarships and grants to University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) students, educators and local non-profits on Thursday, Nov. 14.
According to Raiz, the credit union’s “community opportunity is provided each year to fuel the dreams of those looking to achieve a higher education, develop professionally and increase their community impact within their non-profit organization.”
“Investing in education is investing in our future. By expanding our scholarship program, we aim to lift up our community, empower individuals and create opportunities that will benefit El Paso for generations to come,” Raiz President and CEO Max Villaronga said.
