EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A 24-year-old San Elizario man was arrested on a felony kidnapping warrant out of Los Angeles, the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 6 said.
At about 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, deputy constables observed and then stopped a Jeep that was speeding along the 12300 block of Glorietta in San Elizario, the Constable’s Office said.
During the traffic stop, they made contact with the driver, 24-year-old Miguel Angel Salas.
Deputy constables conducted a warrants check on Salas.
The check revealed the Salas was wanted for felony kidnapping by the Los Angeles Police Department, the Constable’s Office said.
The warrant was verified by the LA Police Department at which point Salas was arrested.
Salas was booked into El Paso County Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.
