The other night, I was out at a restaurant, enjoying a nice dinner, when a kid at the next table started getting real excited about something—loud giggles, a few happy shrieks that even made me jump a bit, but the mom in me wasn’t bugged about his loudness, But the couple sitting nearby? Oh, they were not having it. I could literally feel their frustration from across the room as they exchanged side-eyes and such dramatic sighs in hopes of the parents hearing them and quieting their kid.
That moment got me thinking—while I personally don’t mind a little kid chaos (to a certain extent) there are definitely places where a full-volume meltdown just doesn’t belong. And let’s be real, sometimes we all wish certain spots had a “No Loud Kids Allowed” policy (or at least a volume control button)…
