EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Hospitals of Providence East Campus celebrated the start of a $20 million project that will bring a broke ground on a new 20-bed medical unit in far east El Paso.
On Thursday, hospital and elected officials attended a groundbreaking ceremony at The Hospitals of Providence East Campus, located at 3280 Joe Battle Blvd., to commemorate the start of construction of a new medical unit that, according to Providence, will consist of 20 private state-of-the-art rooms designed for patients with serious medical conditions and illnesses.
With these 20 new beds, The Hospitals of Providence said the East Campus will now be a 238-bed hospital.
“This hospital is very busy,” said Tasha Hopper, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence East Campus. “And so the only way to make sure that we have enough room to do that is to grow with the community.”…
