Ex-El Paso officer uses vacation time to offset suspension

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An ex-officer with the El Paso Police Department was terminated, but not before using his vacation hours to offset his suspension time.

An employment file obtained by KFOX14/CBS4 shows that Joshua Gallardo had originally been put on suspension for 120 hours, but an agreement was made between the city and Gallardo reducing his suspension to 84 hours.

That suspension was set to begin in December 2024 before he was fired…
