We thought the record breaking heat in El Paso during the summer of 2023 was unbearable. 2024 said, “Oh yeah“? “Watch this“. 2025 may cut us some slack.
El Paso broke several heat records In 2023 including a broiling 44 straight days of high temps over 100 degrees. (The previous record was 23 in 1994.) High temps hit 100 or better a total of 70 times with 33 of those days bringing temps over 105 degrees.
Then came 2024, the warmest year in recorded history. during which we set 22 new daily record high temperatures, two monthly record highs’ and the latest 100-degree day in history. (September 27th) 2025 may take it up yet another notch but will be “cool” with us…
