An El Paso husband and wife were sentenced to federal prison on gun and drug trafficking charges, authorities said.
U.S. District Judge Leon Schydlower sentenced Carlos Morales, 41, and Rebekah Sue Walters Morales, 55, in connection with a drug trafficking scheme, Acting U.S. Attorney Margaret Leachman for the Western District of Texas announced in a news release. The couple was sentenced together on April 14 at the Albert Armendariz Sr. Federal Courthouse in Downtown El Paso.
