As someone who has never been to San Antonio, the concept of Fiesta is a bit foreign to me. What is not foreign to me, however, are festival foods. Which is why upon some research, I learned that there is one very popular snack at Fiesta that many a Texan will definitely say is worth the wait.
Because I live in El Paso, we don’t have a Fiesta and the FOMO is real! Fiesta San Antonio is basically one giant, colorful, confetti-filled party that takes over the entire city every spring- and honestly, as someone from the Sun City, I get a little jealous every time I see the footage. While we’re over here enjoying tacos and sunsets in peace, the Alamo City is out there throwing parades, dancing in the streets, and celebrating like it’s a week-long block party (because it kind of is).
