El Paso Public Libraries to close all branches for staff training

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — All El Paso Public Library branches will be closed this Friday, May 16, for a full day of staff training focused on enhancing customer service, the City of El Paso said.

The City says library staff will participate in off-site training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring guest speakers, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities to stay current on library best practices.

“The staff development training for library employees provides an opportunity for them to learn new strategies and practices that will enable them to better serve our customers,” said El Paso Public Libraries Director Norma Martinez. “We are planning on having a thoughtful and creative training that also encourages the professional growth of our library staff.”…
