Texas makes ‘jugging’ a felony with new law

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The act of “jugging,” which involves following someone who has just withdrawn money from an ATM or bank to steal it, is now a felony in Texas under House Bill 1902.

Previously, individuals arrested for this crime in El Paso faced charges of “theft from a person engaging in organized criminal activity.”
