EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County Constable for Precinct 3 Hector Bernal said his office is conducting a one-day crackdown on Friday, July 11 on individuals who have active criminal warrants for failure to play child support.
Bernal’s office reminds the public the charge is a state jail felony that can bring a punishment ranging from three months to not more than two years in prison. Fines can range up to $10,000. Bernal said that these types of warrants are often overlooked by law-enforcement agencies. He would like to remind the community that his deputies will be “vigilantly executing” these types of warrants, looking for offenders, a news release said.
