The Heat Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM. The extreme heat took us to a high of 108 today!! The ridge of high pressure breaks down tonight, opening us up to t-storms. I had to update the Misery Meter. Now we have 8 days this year between 105 and 109.

Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Saturday:

TONIGHT:    The skies will be partly cloudy early in the evening.  A Heat Advisory is in effect until 9 PM.  Overnight tonight, we have a chance of isolated t-storms.  These storms may develop in the early morning hours as well.  The low will be 80, and the west winds will range from 10-25 mph.  Slowly, the winds will die down excluding occasional gusts from possible late night storms.

FORECAST:  Saturday will be a little cooler with a high of 100.  The afternoon clouds will build up, and we should expect widely scattered showers and t-showers by Saturday afternoon and evening.  Some storms may produce brief, heavy rain.  Sunday will be partly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers.  Some storms may become quite strong, and we’ll face the threat of heavy rainfall due to a surge in mid-level moisture.  Sunday’s high:  95.  Monday will be partly to mostly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers.  Again, we’ll face the threat of locally heavy rainfall on Monday.  Monday’s high: 90.  Tuesday will be partly cloudy with isolated area t-storms.  The threat of heavy rain appears to subside for Tuesday.  Tuesday’s high: 95.  Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers with the threat of heavy rainfall out of some storms.  Wednesday’s high: 97.  Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered t-showers.  The threat of heavy rainfall will be with us on Thursday.  Thursday’s high: 91…
