Family seeks justice after woman killed in hit-and-run in South-Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) —The family of a 77-year-old woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in South-Central El Paso over the weekend is speaking out, asking for justice and pleading for the driver involved to come forward.

According to El Paso Police, the crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, near the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Gibraltar Road.

Family members say the victim was Maria Lopez, a mother and grandmother, known for her generosity and love for others. Police have not identified the victim in the crash yet.
