Two young men hailed as heroes after daring rescue during Central El Paso house fire

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — In a moment that could have ended in tragedy, two young men sprang into action when they spotted a neighbor’s home engulfed in flames ultimately rescuing the family’s dogs and helping save a father who had become trapped behind the house.

On Wednesday night, fire broke out suddenly at a home on the 2800 block of Morehead Ave. in Central El Paso. Neighbors described the fire as spreading quickly.

So with time of the essence, Zeus and Eric didn’t hesitate. One of them leapt over a tall wall, grabbing a garden hose and doing what he could to fight back the flames until firefighters arrived…
