Surveillance footage reveals chilling details of Walmart shooting suspect’s actions

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Newly released surveillance footage provides a harrowing glimpse into the actions of Patrick Crusius, the suspect in the Walmart shooting, before, during, and after the tragic event. The footage, which includes video and photographs, was made public online and reviewed by KFOX14.

The surveillance captures Crusius entering and leaving the store multiple times and interacting with people before the shooting. It also includes graphic crime scene photos and images of Crusius at a gun store.

In a nearly hour-long interrogation video released by the YouTube channel “Interrogation Files,” Crusius is heard telling police he has harbored violent thoughts since childhood, admitting to killing animals and expressing a desire to die. He explained his choice of El Paso as the location for the attack, saying he wanted to be as far away from Dallas as possible to avoid traumatizing his parents.
