EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — From Sunday to Tuesday morning, the El Paso Fire Department has responded to 31 weather-related calls, including a dramatic rescue on I-10 and Kansas Street, where floodwaters had trapped a vehicle.
El Paso Fire Battalion Chief Kris Menendez described the situation, “Yesterday’s incident, there was one driver that was stranded in the vehicle. Water was about a thigh to waist level, and so our team members or units that responded to the incident were able to navigate to the individual and pull him out of the vehicle.”
“What was different about this incident is that it’s not moving water. Moving water versus still water are two different types of scenarios,” Menendez said…
