CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO (KFOX14/CBS4) — In a joint operation conducted Friday morning, Mexican agents arrested a man identified as Jaime Huereca and/or Carlos Miramontes, who was wanted by U.S. authorities.
The fugitive’s capture took place on Tomás Fernández Boulevard, near the corner of Antonio J. Bermúdez Avenue, a high-traffic area in Ciudad Juárez.
The arrested individual had an active warrant in the United States for the crimes of conspiracy to distribute drugs and evading a prison in the state of Texas.
According to official reports, the operation was executed at the request of the U.S. Marshals Service, who maintain close collaboration with Mexican authorities in the fight against transnational organized crime…
