The greater El Paso County, Texas, area will be under a heat advisory in the beginning of the week from Monday through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather agency issued an alert on Sunday warning residents to prepare for unbearable heat from 1 p.m. Monday through 10 p.m. Tuesday throughout the El Paso County as well as Hudspeth County.
It comes after Polk and Trinity counties braced for heavy rain and flooding about a month after the horrific July Fourth weekend floods in central Texas, which killed at least 135 people.
